As of 08/01/2025, coconut has been reintroduced into menus across Duke Dining locations. Updated guidance by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) no longer includes coconut in the tree nut category, as it is a drupe fruit. Duke Dining will continue to foster a culture of transparency and will continue to clearly label on menus and ingredient lists whenever possible for those with food allergies to make informed decisions.
